Contribute to the Development of PSL Tool with Living Labs and Get Ready to Become Izmir's Climate Ambassador!
Aiming to close the gap between climate awareness and individual action, Life Laboratories within the scope of PSLifestyle Project are citizen science workshops held in Pilot Cities with the participation of citizens, local government, civil society and other city stakeholder representatives.
Laboratories will enable participants to jointly develop visions of a better life that cares about nature, with a low environmental footprint, and to design solutions for how these visions will be implemented in daily life.
Throughout the PSLifestyle Project, we meet at the Living Labs to interact with people in our city of Izmir, to develop new perspectives on good living and healthy environment together, and to create the PSL Online Web Tool together.
What Was Designed in Living Labs?
The first of the PSLifestyle Living Lab, which is planned to be held 6 times in the pilot cities of 8 European countries, together with Izmir, during the project.
It was held on May 11, 2022 at the Historical Coal Gas Factory with the participation of 36 City Stakeholders.
With the second workshop held on June 4, 2022, the first phase of the Living Lab was completed with the participation of 60 residents and stakeholders.
On September 20, 2022, the Beta version of the PSL Online web tool was started with the participation of 43 Karşıyaka residents located in Karşıyaka Municipality Sustainability Office and Old Synagogue Building. Alternative models of PSL Tool for sustainable living were discussed under 4 main consumption frameworks. The new Beta version of PSL Tool, designed for Izmir city life, is getting ready to meet with users very soon.
PSLIFESTYLE 3rd Sustainable 'Living Lab' Workshop Held!
Organized in cooperation with Zeytince Ecological Life Support Association and Karşıyaka Municipality, Karşıyaka Mayor Dear Dr. The PSLifestyle Project 2nd Life Laboratory 1st Workshop, which started with the opening speech of Cemil Tugay, was again very productive, enjoyable and active participation!
PSLIFESTYLE PROJESİ:
The first version of the "PSL - Sustainable Lifestyle Online Platform" of the Positive and Sustainable Lifestyle Horizon Project has been completed.
The first prototype of the “PSL Online Lifestyle Platform” was created within the scope of the PSLifestyle project carried out by the Zeytince Association in Turkey.
On May 11, 2022, a total of 60 city residents started to design the PSL Online Lifestyle Platform, with the project launch and the first “Life Laboratories” held at the Historical Coal Gas Factory in the pilot city of Izmir.
Residents participating in the Living Labs will be awarded the title of PSL Climate Ambassador at the end of the project.

Projenin Arka Planı
Paris 1.5 derece hedefine varmak için her düzeyde karbon ayak izinin azaltılması gerekiyor. Ancak devletlerin, şirketlerin ve uluslararası kurumların girişimlerinin yanı sıra vatandaşların ve toplulukların da bu sürece, günlük yaşam tarzlarında ve tüketim alışkanlıklarında değişime giderek, karbon ayak izlerini azaltmaları yoluyla katkı vermeleri çok önemli. Ancak insanlar yaşam tarzları ve tüketim alışkanlıkları sonucu yarattıkları “çevresel ayak izlerini” anlama, ölçme, izleyebilme ve daha sürdürülebilir bir yaşam tarzını planlayarak yönetmek konusunda yeterli donanıma sahip değillerdir.
Projenin Amaçları
Bu projenin amacı , iklim değişikliği ve çevresel sorunlarla vatandaşların yaşam tarzlarını ve tüketim alışkanlıklarını değiştirmeleri ve karbon ayak izlerini azaltmaları yoluyla aktif katılımını sağlamaktır
Bu amaç kapsamında Projenin Temel Hedefi:
PS Lifestyle digital WEB applikasyonunun ” geliştirilmesi ve bunun sekiz partner ülkede vatandaşlarca uygulanması. Bir davranış değişikliği ve vatandaş bilimi applikasyonu olan bu dijital mobil uygulama sayesinde, vatandaşlar tüketimlerine ilişkin çevresel ve sosyo ekonomik datayı toplayabilecekler, izleyebilecekler ve sürdürülebilir ve sağlıklı yaşam planları yapabilecekler.

• Sürdürülebilir yaşam tarzına ilişkin öneriler içeriyor (“100 smart choices”)
• Vatandaşların sürdürülebilir tüketim davranış planları yapmalarına olanak tanıyor
1. Sekiz Ülkede çoklu paydaş katılımıyla Vatandaş Bilimi Pilot Çalıştayları – “Yaşayan Laboratuvarlar” – düzenlemek: App kullanımı ile elde edilen veriler ve paydaşların kendi bölgelerindeki sürdürülebilir yaşam seçeneklerine dair önerileri doğrultusunda App. geliştirilmesine katkı vermek
2. Elde edilen gerek nicel gerekse nitel veri setinin işlenerek ve değerlendirilmesi yapılarak açık digital platformda yayınlanması ve yaygınlaştırılması; Bu verilerin kentteki kamusal ve özel sektör paydaşlarla paylaşılması.
3. Kent de, gerek bireysel düzeyde, gerekse toplum düzeyinde sürdürülebiliri yaşam dönüşümü doğrultusunda değişimde yönelik faaliyet planlarının ve stratejilerinin oluşturulması.

Zeytince Association took part as the voluntary partner in the formation of the Olive Grove Road which is one of the thematic routes of The Ephesus – Mimas Cultural Road Project undertaken by Municipality of İzmir in 2015. Ephesus – Mimas Cultural Road Project – total 709 km long – that goes trough the six cities of the ancient Ionian civilization in Izmir Peninsula and embracing all the natural, historical and cultural riches have been, for the first time, turned into walking and cycling paths in Izmir
Olive Academy is the school building, education and information centre of Zeytince Association which is situated in the Inecik district of Karaburun/Izmir. Zeytince Association prepared the Olive Academy Project within the framework of the “Izmir Peninsula Sustainable Development Strategy 2014 – 2023 and presented it to the Metropolitan Municipality of Izmir in April 2016.
Olive Fly Project is a comprehensive project to fights against the olive fly which damages the olive trees in the Karaburun Region. In February-December 2017, under the coordination of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Department of Agricultural Services and Zeytince Association, the “Olive Fly Project” was conducted in the districts of Eğlenhoca, Kösedere and Inecik of Karaburun.
